The Institute Season 2 Trailer Introduces Alfie Allen as Nolan Reeves
The Institute season 2 trailer gives a first look at Alfie Allen as tech billionaire Nolan Reeves, with the MGM+ premiere set for November 8.

The Institute season 2 trailer is here, and it brings a new face with deep pockets. MGM+ has released the first extended look at the new season of its thriller horror series, which is based on the bestselling Stephen King novel.
Deadline reports that the footage includes the first look at Game of Thrones alum Alfie Allen as Nolan Reeves. The escaped kids, it seems, have picked up a very rich problem.
What the Season 2 Trailer Shows Beyond Alfie Allen
The trailer is the first extended preview of the season, so it works as a proper reintroduction rather than a teaser. It follows the official logline: Season 2 picks up after Luke and his friends escape from Dennison, and they now look for a way to end the Institute for good.
The trailer also gives Reeves a line. He says he wants to know Luke Ellis's weak spots, which is the kind of sentence that tells a viewer exactly where this character sits in the story.
Nolan Reeves, the Tech Billionaire Funding the Institute
Allen plays Reeves, described as an eccentric European tech billionaire and one of the Institute's financial backers. He comes with an ambitious agenda of his own, according to the description.
The logline places him on the other side from Luke and his friends. The Director enlists Reeves as a new ally to help him rebuild.
The report does not say how Reeves is tied to the Institute beyond that funding. It also gives no nationality beyond "European," so those details will have to wait for the episodes.
Luke, Sigsby, and the Returning Cast Lined Up for Season 2
The logline also gives Ms. Sigsby a new situation. Her life as a fugitive pushes her to look for a way back in, which sets her on a collision course with the kids who got out.
Joe Freeman returns as Luke Ellis, and Ben Barnes is back as Tim Jamieson. Mary-Louise Parker plays Ms. Sigsby again.
The rest of the returning cast is:
Simone Miller as Kalisha
Fionn Laird as Nicky
Arlen So as George
Robert Joy as Dr. Hendricks
Hannah Galway as Wendy
Behind the camera, Jack Bender directs. Benjamin Cavell wrote the teleplay. King, Bender and Cavell are executive producers alongside Gary Barber, Sam Sheridan, Ed Redlich and Michael Mahoney.
Where and When The Institute Season 2 Premieres on MGM+
Season 2 premieres November 8 on MGM+. The series airs exclusively on MGM+ in the U.S., UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia.
Amazon MGM Studios Distribution will distribute it in all other international territories, Deadline says.
Important Note: The report gives the premiere as November 8 but does not state the year. It also does not say how many episodes Season 2 will have or how releases will be scheduled after the premiere.
With the date set, the next thing to watch is how Reeves's "weak spots" line plays out once the season starts. For more trailer news, see our look at the Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 trailer, or the Severance Season 3 release window.
